“I called Dr Drains seeking a second opinion and boy am I glad I did! I’d had another Canberra based drains specialist company out and they cleaned the bulk of the blocked drain for me. They also put a camera down the sewer pipe and found a large piece of plastic wedged in the pipe – which had obviously caused the blockage. They told me that the ONLY way to clear it was to excavate my garden, cut out the pipe and blockage and replace – and that would cost me $10,000 (and didn’t include any tidy up afterwards!) Needless to say I was distraught (I’m 6 months pregnant) but they had seemed very nice and professional and I trusted their advice so was very close to going ahead with them. That said, for that kind of money I thought I should get a second opinion and thank goodness I did!

Jeremy from Dr Drains came out. He was really friendly and professional and put a camera down the drain and found the same issue as the first company. The difference was that Jeremy had 3 other options we could try before resorting to excavating (pushing the blockage out, gluing and dragging it out or breaking it down into smaller pieces)! The first one he was able to do on the spot and it worked! So instead of paying $10,000 we ended up paying $517. And even if we had had to excavate, the cost with them was far more reasonable at $5500. I was so impressed with Jeremy and his customer care and not just trying to get as much money as he could out of us. Thanks to him we saved thousands of dollars. I couldn’t recommend Jeremy enough.
